Stop #1: Panama City Beach, Florida

We have officially wrapped up our first stop on our trip: three weeks in Panama City Beach. To be completely honest, there wasn’t a ton of excitement on this leg. After the holidays, we used this time to reset and get back into a routine. This has included lots of beach walks, exercise, and dry January. We also did some puzzles, read books, and did some embroidery.
Since a good chunk of PCB is closed in January for the off-season, and we were exhausted from jumping around so much in December, we didn’t explore the area as much as we typically would. If you know me, you know I love a good sports bar, so our main highlight was Christo’s Sports Bar. It is in a gas station parking lot, always packed, and has great food. We watched a bunch of football there (go Bills!) and enjoyed the friendly staff and fun environment.
Another major highlight was the sunsets. I mean, just wow. Our bnb was a quick 5-minute walk to the beach, and we took advantage of that most days after work. The fun part about it being off-season was that, typically, no one else was really there. I get it; it has been cold. It was cold enough that we even got snow and lots of it.
So that’s it for the first stop. Nothing too exciting, but we head to Savannah, GA, one of our favorite places, next. We went there a few years ago for my birthday with our friends Jeff and Dawn, and can’t wait to go back!
